Welcome to Haven House

A five-bedroom, six-bathroom lakefront retreat designed for gathering, Haven House puts Lake Michigan front and center from nearly every room, porch, and perch in the home.

With two full kitchens, two living rooms, a panoramic crow's nest tower, and an outdoor entertaining setup complete with fire pit, kitchen, and hot tub, it blends elevated comfort with effortless indoor-outdoor living.

First Floor Entry, Its Own World.

The house’s first floor entry takes you into a newly renovated mudroom area (with stackable washer/dryer set and beverage refrigerator). Ahead to the left is a brand-new bathroom with heated floors, private water closet, and double vanities. The mud room opens into a den that is perfect for afternoon naps.

To the left of the den is a bedroom with a king-sized bed and large picture windows that frame the outside.  To the right is a room with queen over queen “adult bunkbeds” that offer their own lakefront view with a door that opens to the lower porch with outdoor seating for morning coffee or a sunset toast.

East Wing First Floor Entry & Entertainer’s Paradise.

In the east wing of the first floor, the house includes a gourmet kitchen with oversized island and bar seating for six, dining area with seating for six, a full living room, and a wet bar. There is even a full bathroom with walk in shower. This is an ideal hangout zone for late-night snacks, movie marathons, or a quieter escape from the group's main energy.  

The first floor living areas are practically a home unto itself. But there is so much more.

Stairs take you to the second-floor that opens into a bright, open-concept living space where the kitchen, dining area, and keeping room flow together under the sightline of the lake.

The second-floor kitchen, with granite counters, gas range, and a full complement of updated appliances, make cooking for a crowd feel effortless. And with the second fully-equipped kitchen downstairs, this house has everything a cook or cooks will need.

A dedicated work space on the second level offers a quiet, distraction-free spot to take calls or focus or choose to climb the stairs to the third-level where the crow's nest is an inspiring alternative workspace with panoramic views 360 degree views.

With reliable high-speed wireless internet throughout the home, multiple private nooks to tuck away in, and three levels of living space, it's easy for one person to be on a video call while the rest of the group enjoys the lake. Work from the sunroom, the library, the first-floor den, or even the porch — wherever the view suits your mood.

Living Inside and Out.

Just outside of the first-floor kitchen, our guests will find an outdoor entertaining setup that will make eating at home preferable to eating out. The all brick patio has an outdoor kitchen (sink and beverage refrigerator) with a dedicated propane gas grill, sink, and beverage refrigerator. After dinner, take a sunset soak in the covered hot tub and then rinse off in the outdoor shower. On chilly nights, the outdoor heat lamps make staying outside for as long as possible a comfortable reality.

Ready for some fun and games? For kids, tweens, and teens, there is plenty of space to play or even organize a quick pick up basketball game with a hoop in the backyard. In front, find equipment (stored under front stairs to porch) for a touch football game or a friendly (ahem, competitive) corn hole tournament on the front lawn.

As evening settles, the lakeside fire pit is the main draw — the kind of spot where conversations stretch past midnight and s’mores are always a hit…

A Tower Room Worth the Climb. Ascend to the crow's nest and you'll find what might be the most memorable space in the home: a tower room with 360-degree panoramic view. Equal parts reading nook, sunset-watching perch, or morning coffee sanctuary, it's the kind of room that guests sneak away to and never want to leave.

Your Path to the Beach. A short walk from the home leads to stairs descending directly to the Lake Michigan shoreline — and multiple electric lifts make the return trip effortless, even with towels, coolers, and sandy kids in tow. Spend your days on the water, then rinse off in the outdoor shower and fire up the grill on the patio as the sun drops into the lake creating the most spectacular views.
